Final Paper Submission Instructions
for authors whose conference abstracts have been accepted
Thank you for submitting an abstract for a conference paper in OCEANS '10 IEEE Sydney. In order for your paper to be published in the Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, the on-line database, the following instructions must be followed:
1. The paper must not exceed 10 pages, including figures. Do not include blank pages at the end of the paper. The paper size must be US Letter (8½ by 11 inches) or A4 (210 x 297 mm).
2. Compose your paper in accordance with the formatting and style requirements established for the Conference Proceedings. To assist you in the preparation of your paper, the following templates are available (click to download):

3. Proofread and check the layout of your paper.
4. You will need to upload your paper in a PDF format that is compliant with IEEE’s PDF standard. IEEE PDF eXpress is an online tool that can convert your Word, LaTeX or other source document to the compliant PDF format. You must use PDF eXpress to convert your source document. PDFs generated with other utilities will not be acceptable. Go to IEEE PDF eXpress at www.pdf-express.org. You will need to create a new user account for this conference. Follow the “New Users – Click here” link to create your account. You will need to use the conference ID: oceans10x
4. You will need to upload your paper in a PDF format that is compliant with IEEE’s PDF standard. IEEE PDF eXpress is an online tool that can convert your Word, LaTeX or other source document to the compliant PDF format. You must use PDF eXpress to convert your source document. 5. Log in to IEEE PDF eXpress and upload your document source file for conversion. You will receive your converted paper as an attachment to an email from IEEE PDF eXpress. This process takes 5 to 20 minutes. The attachment will be the file you upload to the conference web site. Please review it first for accuracy. The accuracy of the paper and of the conversion is your responsibility.
6. Submit your final PDF eXpress-compliant document via the Abstract Submission page identified in the acceptance notification email, using the login information listed within that email. The deadline for all submissions is 21 March 2010. This deadline will not be extended.

The paper upload process will automatically take you through the submission of keywords, the electronic copyright transfer process and payment of the paper registration fee, before you upload your PDF eXpress compliant paper (you are allowed up to three uploads).
You may verify receipt of your paper by downloading it from the site. We will not send an email acknowledgment. Receipt of your manuscript by this conference together with the IEEE PDF eXpress certification email constitutes release for open publication. No cancellation of such release is permissible.

Inclusion of your paper in the Technical Program and Conference Proceedings requires assignment of copyright to the sponsoring Society. This process is normally and automatically conducted on-line prior to uploading your paper. Contact the Technical Program Chair at technical_program_chair@oceans10ieeesydney.org if employer or funding source requirements disallow use of the standard copyright form. You will not be able to upload your paper until the copyright has been satisfactorily assigned.

Inclusion of your paper in the Technical Program and Conference Proceedings requires payment of the paper registration fee (which covers your conference registration) by March 21, 2010. This deadline will not be extended. This process is automatically conducted on-line prior to uploading your paper. A single paper registration fee can cover up to three papers that share a common author or co-author. You will not be able to upload your paper until the fee has been paid. If you are an exhibitor, you must pay a paper registration fee in addition to the exhibitor registration fee.

Independent of the paper registration fee, oral presentation of your paper at the conference by one of the authors is a requirement for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings and distribution to IEEE Xplore. Your paper will not be published if it is not presented at the conference.
